The Lee family have been riding at XYZ for over two years. Not just mother Grace, but her 3 daughters and husband too. We checked in with Grace to see how she fits in life around a busy mother’s schedule and how fitness weaves its way into the Lee family lifestyle.
For me, being a mother of 3 girls is like gaining 3 more best friends. They go shopping with me, travel with me, laugh with me, share secrets with me and also are the “guinea pigs” for my homemade smoothies and new dinner dishes!
They each have their own distinct characters, however they are all so full of energy and passion every day. Their passion for photography, their determination in doing different types of sports and exercise, as well as academics somehow inspires me to do better as a mother. Thus, going to XYZ spinning is somehow influenced by them rather than my own initiation.
HOW DO YOU PRIORITISE YOUR TIME?
I'm not a working mother, so making time for myself is much easier. I will devote an hour to exercise daily. Be it yoga, HIIT, pilates, squash and of course XYZ spinning. Also meal planning and cooking dinner for them is also a priority on my daily schedule. Not to mention creating my smoothies every week. Since they are all grown up and I don’t need to help them with their academics anymore, it allows me to have more time to cook, exercise and to cultivate my own hobbies.;
FAVOURITE CLASS AND MOVE ON THE BIKE?
My favourite class is Born to Move and my favourite move on the bike are pushups and dips because I need to strengthen my triceps.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR MUM THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO PASS ONTO YOUR GIRLS?
My 3 girls have one common characteristic- all 3 of them are quite messy! Despite the fact that I am a very organised person, my very organised character was actually from my mom. Hope my girls can pick up this character soon! LOL!!
